PRESCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE TO QUALIFIED FAMILIES THROUGH AND ADLM EMPOWERMENT GRANT.

BELOW IS AN ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINE. CONTACT THE CENTER'S DIRECTOR FOR AN APPLICATION.

Davis County Daycare and Preschool has received scholarship funds for families who qualified based on income guidelines. These funds have been made available by the Iowa State Legislature. ADLM Grants funds are to be used as scholarships for children ages three to five years of age to attend our Preschool Program. Scholarships will be available through June 2007.

(1) Family income at or below 185% of Federal HHS Poverty Guidelines. For 2005 those guidelines are:

(2) Family can not be eligible for any other federal or state funded assistance or programming, i.e. a family whose income qualifies their child for Head Start can not choose to use an "Empowerment Scholarship" to attend a private preschool, if there is a Head Start slot available at the beginning of the preschool term. (ADLM is working with area Head Start programs to provide a certification to eligible parents when a Head Start slot is not available.)
